Writing Paragraphs in Kidblog

Today, you will respond to a prompt on Kidblog in proper paragraph format.  Use the “hamburger” template.

Paragraph Requirements

1.  A topic sentence that "sets the stage" for the reader.
2. Three (3) detail sentences (all details should support your topic sentence and be related to your topic sentence).
3.  A concluding sentence.

Your paragraph may be about one of the following topics (choose one):

-The long Snow Day weekend

-Bright Beginnings

-Martin Luther King Jr. 

Your teachers will comment on your posts.  We will be looking for students following the paragraph format and for interesting and clear topic and concluding sentences.

When you have finished with your paragraph, open Pixie.  Everyone will make a sign for Parent Appreciation Day. Mrs. Khanijoun will hang these signs for the parent classroom visits tomorrow morning.  Add your text to your sign FIRST, then you may add color, spray can, backgrounds, etc.

Draw an Array in Pixie

Today, we will use Pixie to create an array.  You will use animal stickers to make your array.  You should also include the classification of your animal (such as a mammal, reptile or fish).  Here is a sample below:

There are a few students that have not finished their animal trading cards.  Once you have finished the array, please open your animal trading card project so you can finish it today.

All others may go to Multiplication.com to practice multiplication facts.

Raz-Kids and Mathletics Today

While I am out today, I would like 3rd Grade to spend the first 20 minutes reading books on Raz-Kids. You should also take the Quiz(zes) after you finish reading the book(s).
